More than 670 medical professionals have been killed in the Syrian crisis. Over 95% of these deaths are by Syrian government forces.
Since the start of the crisis in Syria, physicians, hospitals, and ambulances have been systematically targeted and indiscriminately bombed. Each of these attacks is a war crime, and together they amount to crimes against humanity. However, these crimes are almost daily occurrences in Syria. The constant threat of violence has forced thousands of physicians to flee the country, leaving the healthcare system decimated.
On October 29, join us for a die-in in New York City as we stand in solidarity with Syrian healthcare professionals who risk their lives to save others in Syria. We want to gather over 670 people wearing white coats, each representing a different Syrian health worker who has been killed.
