IPS Middle East expert Phyllis Bennis will be a presenter for The U.S. Role in a Changing World, a new program series of the Woman’s National Democratic Club.
The Program Committee of the Woman’s National Democratic Club is organizing a new program series, beginning with “The U.S. Role in a Changing World,” and that kicked off with Derek Chollet’s September 29 presentation on President Obama’s foreign policy. The series “Social Role of the Arts” will begin January 10, 2017, with a presentation by poet and literary activist E. Ethelbert Miller. They plan to present one program every month in each series, with ample notice so those interested in these topics can attend.
The lunch programs planned to date in the “U.S. Role” series are Phyllis Bennis on November 17 (U.S. Role in the Syrian civil wars), Ambassador Dennis Ross on December 7 (U.S.-Israel relationship); and Medea Benjamin on January 12 (Saudi Arabia and Yemen).
The books will be available for purchase and signing.
