The Senior Transformative Agenda Implementation Team (STAIT) is pleased to invite you to a 60-minute webinar on:
INFORMATION MANAGEMENT: Is it guiding strategic analysis, and supporting operations? Perspectives from the field…
Regional Humanitarian Coordinator (RHC), Whole of Syria
Representative, Syria International NGO Regional Forum (SIRF) and co-chair, SIMAWG)
Tuesday 26 April 2016
Information is critical to decision-making and planning in a humanitarian response. Decisions must be based on reliable data and analysis of the needs of the people that are most affected. This is not easy when access to people affected by the crisis is difficult, when the operating environment is dangerous, and when requests for information are frequent and diverse.
Is information management helping to guide humanitarian strategies and to support the operation in the largest and, arguably, most complex crisis in the world?
The webinar is facilitated by Panos Moumtzis, Director of the Senior Transformative Agenda Implementation Team (STAIT).
Questions are welcome in advance of the webinar!
You can e-mail questions to the STAIT before the webinar or submit them to the presenters live via the chat function.
All documents relevant to this webinar, and a recording of the event are posted on the STAIT website.

What is the STAIT?
The IASC Emergency Directors’ Group (EDG) established the Senior Transformative Agenda Implementation Team (STAIT) to support them in rolling-out the IASC Transformative Agenda at field-level. The STAIT seeks to improve understanding and knowledge of the Transformative Agenda and its related toolbox of protocols at field level, as well as to strengthen practical, “tailor-made” application of the protocols in specific humanitarian contexts. The STAIT team includes senior UN and NGO colleagues with extensive experience in humanitarian operations, ready to share good practice and provide peer support.
